About Me
Sam Centurion is a Spanish-American filmmaker studying Film & Television at NYU. His work explores themes of masculinity and cultural alienation through a slice-of-life approach to storytelling. He has worked as a producer, director, and writer in Guatemala, Spain, New York, San Diego, and Los Angeles, with his films showcased at MoMA and NYU. His most recent project, Finding Figures (2025), is entering the festival circuit, and he is currently developing and directing the pilot episode of a television series, Bashful. In addition to narrative work, he directs music videos and short-form projects, always seeking new creative challenges.

Inside Savoia is a 2024 performance documentary covering a band’s recording of their new music.
MayanKen Ceramics is a documentary covering the lives and craft of ceramics workers in San Antonio Palopo, Guatemala.

As well as directing, I am also experienced in the DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING, CINEMATOGRAPHIC, and PRE-PRODUCTION aspects of film. I am open to working in any media format!
